Jonas Trepanier reporting for the Researcher
Last year at RTHS, a student started a Random Acts of Kindness club. This club was dedicated to helping and motivating others. They spread happiness and put up posters with inspirational messages on them. This year, they are back and BIGGer than ever.
Sponsored by Mr. Lasseter, the new club is participating in this year’s BIGG (Big Ideas for the Greater Good) challenge. With other schools, the members will come together and make this community happier. Inspire Media, a non-profit organization, has a similar vision. Students will participate in a semester-long project to make their ideas a reality.
Their meetings will meet on Wednesdays after school, with hopes of having a team of fourteen students by the kick-off celebration on 9/26/15 (there may be donuts).
All those interested in joining please contact Mr. Lasseter and watch some of the videos sent to your email.
Remember spots are filling up so sign up now if you are interested, and to all you students reading this, whether you join the club or not, remember to think BIGG.
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
